Post here some of the bands and or songs that suck for the punk genre.
Personnally my least favorite band is Green Day. That is of course why you will probably not hear Green Day on punk4punks. Smile

Good choice with greenday. It all started to go wrong once Billie Joe discovered make-up. I guess he's trying to make himself look younger, he's not fooling anyone though. The idiots in Good Charlotte sum up the problem any genuine music genre faces. That is the fact that record company executives will dress up any morons and try to exploit the scene for all its worth.

Yeah I am not to impressed by some of these bands. I think we have one new found glory and one good charolette song in our rotation. The make-up thing reminds me of when goth meets punk which in my opinion is supposed to say that, "I am a badass." and it really says,"I am a sellout." I think most of this music can be summed up as gap punk.

Old greenday was pretty good. People have gotten pretty tired of them though, but they still have a huge fan base.

I would have to agree with you that green day still has a huge fan base. The older stuff of green day isn't as bad as the newer stuff. I guess my problem with green day is that they are sell outs and are now more alternative than punk. They went main stream as soon as possible and have stayed main stream the entire time. Although they were not as good as a lot of punk bands, they received more publicity, and stayed popular longer then they should have. This confused a lot of new listeners into thinking they were punk when newer green day is more alternative than punk. Although I will have to say that they probably have gained more followers for punk, when punk was not as popular, and because of that had kept punk alive longer than it would have. Other bands such as nofx, afi, bad religion, and etc. also contributed in keeping punk alive.

Laughing  The guy is a depiction of sid vicious and I also hate linkin park.  But most of all I dislike green day and corporate bands like them (most of them being emo).

Hmm. When I was into the hardcore scene in my teens, I wore black eyeliner as did many punks during the 80s so the make-up thing is irrelevant to me. Green lost it after Dookie. Dookie was their last decent album. Everything else by them [new stuff] is elevator music especially that 'time of your life' song.

So, to answer the post specifically, I think the following bands suck:

*ANY* 'punk' band that I would hear on a small town radio station (like the town I presently live in). Stations like KROQ in LA (the station that exposed Green Day in 94) are great in big cities where there is much more diversity.
