Bands that sound better liveI have rarely heard a band that sounds better live then when recorded in a studio(mostly because of sound equipment) but Social D sounds like crap on their regular cds. Their live album is much better. Also in my opinion the nofx album, "I heard they suck live." was one of the best nofx albums. When I heard them live at warped tour they were better then almost any band besides maybe anti-flag. I would like to hear what bands you guys think are better or worse live then recorded in a studio.

I saw NOFX and Authority Zero a couple years back on the Rock Against Bush Tour and they were both incredible. I think the main reason they sounded better live than recorded is because of the raw music. It seems that certain bands just sound too over-produced on their albums. So I suggest seeing either of these two live! Also I just saw Millencolin (for the second time) recently when they were on their Kingwood Tour for their new ablum (Kingwood.) They were fucking great! Then again, maybe it was the many, many beers, and the fact that I love their music. But they are definitely a band to see live.

I have also seen millencolin live a few years back. I had drinken a bunch of yaggermiester but they still sounded pretty damn good. I don't remember much of the other bands after millencolin though.  I am also a big fan of millencolin. I have almost every album(some being pretty good some just ok).

yes, NOFX are amazing live!!!!! The best band ever! (my opinion at least.)

im probably gonna get pissed on for saying this, but both times i have seen NOFX( one of my top 10 bands) they sounded horrible.
the first time was at warped tour 2002 i think, which i promised i will never see another one again. it was the sloppiest shit i have ever heard.
and the second was at the warehouse in T.O. even after a 12 pack and a bunch more brews once we were inside, it was the same thing.
maybe its toronto or something i dont know, but they say they love to play here. the point is i will go see them when they come back and hopefully i will have a better experience, if not i still will love there albums.

the best band or i guess show i have seen live would be the nobodys, the queers and marylins vitamins back in like '98, i missed marylins vitamins but got there in time for the start of nobodys, thankfully we were able to smuggle booze on the train and get hammied before we showed up late or that would have been a shame.
it was at the horseshoe tavern on queen and spadina in toronto, the best bar in canada ...well besides the wiskey a go-go.
it holds somethin like 150 people and all were asshole punk rockers, ahhh what a memory
