WTF is up with Warped Tour?!I was reading something the other day and there was an ad for Warped tour and their sponsor is Cingular telephone! I believe that Cingular is owned by AT&T, one of the companies that wanted to get rid of net nuetrality. Why is a major punk music festival being signed on under a major corporation? Just a thought. |

Seems like if anything gets popular enough, money becomes an issue which then soon kills the movement. Thats why Fads suck

I agree with you that most people don't care where you post or who you are. But I prefer that people try posting in the right topic with their profile. But I rather someone post where ever they want under the guest name then not post at all.

I agree with you on that. If I didn't go to warp tour I would have never been able to see, the vandals, nofx, anti-flag, afi and guttermouth play. It was also pretty cool to see tsol play. I don't think that at first warp tour had sold out. It seems recently that warp tour has been more for money then to play music. Admin |

It's an easy place to make money for stores though. Like my friend said, some stores that set up shops there get more money in one day then for a few months of acualy having the shop! I dont mind some of the selling out though, cause Vans shoes for $40, that's awesome! But I hate how they over price the food and make you buy there special money. | ||||

warped tour blows, lets get back to the roots of punk, the small venues where tickets are like 5-10 bucks, better memorys for sure, and you dont have to sit in a fuckin tent and drink your beer, sorry to be so negative but im so fuckin sick of all the hype of bigger is better ...go see a real show | ||||

I said this before, and i'de like to repeat myself. If it's not for the Warped Tour, I wouldn't be able to see NOFX, Anti-Flag, The Causalties and some other bands in one day. Though it is pretty sell-out. Especialy cause they have their own wate-in-a-can or it might be an energy drink, I dunno. | ||||

I worked as a security gaurd in San Diego for Warped in 2000... I would have to say that it really depends on the people they hire. I let people in with pipes and huge bags of herb. hah! |

Dude, I wish you were there then. I dont get why the warped tour, which is supposed to be punk has security. Isn't that something punk is against? Sure its protects store from having stuff stolen and people going back and harrassing bands, but in my opinion, the bands should be hanging out with their fans and not back stage in their tour bus playing video games! |
